This and that!

This morning Tina sat out in the garden reading and resting, I started to clear an area for a new shrub that Tina’s hairdresser gave her. I cleared one plant out and went down to the bottom of the garden and planted it there, then I started to did put the cornflower as it isn’t right on the bank and sends out runners and pops up everywhere. I couldn’t actually dig deep enough to remove all the root but have cleared the larger clumps. Still looks a bit untidy and I didn’t get around to planting the new shrub. It will be the weekend now I think.
We went up to Freeport and had lunch and visited a couple of shops. This large toadstool was under a bush.
Tina went out into the summer house to read her book and I headed off to help Carol and Sal again with their clearing. They do have a huge amount of stock. Then Carol cut my hair and wouldn’t let me pay, that was kind of them.
I was writing a letter at my desk as I wanted to get down to the post box this evening so it goes out first collection tomorrow, when I went into the sitting room Pandora was sitting on the jigsaw! To her credit she didn’t knock any bits off when she got down!
A bit later she got on it again and it was balance on the chair arms, as she went to just it tipped, I squealed and it didn’t come right down, but some of it did fall off this time. Have put it on the floor now!
When I was walking back from posting the letter what I could see of the sky looked as if it might be pretty so I walked into the park. It wasn’t that special and the first pic is affected by the light because I zoomed. But will add them anyway!

Such a large park area and the only people enjoying it were dog walkers.
Tina took this next picture this evening which is worth posting.
This last photo I took through the window with the phone, that light bit by the pole was actually the moon!
So, a bit of a mixed day and feeling quite weary this evening.

  1. I like the idea of Tina sitting out and relaxing while you’re slaving away in the garden 😊 At least you got out for a bit of lunch, which is always a nice thing to do.
Definitely a day for helping others. Getting ready to plant Tina’s shrub and helping out Carol and Sal. It was really nice of them to cut your hair and not charge you. I know you enjoy their company too, so win win.
Think I’d have done more than squealed if my cat had perched on a jigsaw I’d spent ages doing, and then knocked part of it apart! I probably would have included a boot in there somewhere 😊
I really like the pic of the summerhouse with the lights on. Looks very inviting. The last pic is good too. Looks like we have three moons.
Not surprised you’re weary, it was quite a busy day.

Such a lot of gardening needs doing and now the leaves are coming down, but thanks to your suggestion we will get a leaf sweeper!
