Change of plans, temporary hopefully!

Tina woke up today not feeling well, heady and a cold but also coughing well! She took a lateral flow test which was negative but as they are not that reliable she booked a test in Hull. We hope she will get her results tomorrow but meanwhile I cancelled seeing Sarah and David this evening and helping Carol and Sal do some sorting during the day. They are giving the shop up as it is expensive and comes with too many restrictions. I won lose my hairdresser though as she will go mobile. So my only trip out was to the chemist, masked and quick!
I spent a good deal of the day sorting out various stuff that has been lying about, cleaning things and generally trying to get a bit more organised. I started to move things off an old bench when I found a bit frog. Actually I wasn’t sure if it was alive or dead, but when I went back later it had moved but was still on the bench!
Looking at my photos I realise that I forgot to mention the shower this morning! Apart from the aching knees and hands my big toes have been sore for some time, one particularly cracks occasionally and I had a plater on it to try and protect it. So, needs must, a plastic bag round the foot!
As well as sorting I decided to ‘rescue’ pansies that had self sown in the gravel path and get them into a tub with nice new compost.
I did pot on a Scaredy cat plant and the few hollyhocks that had survived.
I sorted what seemed like hundreds of flower pots and left a lot on the bench out the front. Tina has sent out a message to HUG on Facebook to say collect what you want!
I cleaned all the bonsai pots and trays and the plant pot drip trays. Surprising just how many I had when I started gathering them up. They are now all stored together nd won’t be getting wet and covered in mud and slugs, not to mention the spiders. Was sorry to be disturbing them!

Didn’t pack up until gone seven so having a quiet evening, some of it with Pandora on my lap!

  1. Well fingers crossed that Tina’s test comes back negative. I’m sure it will 🤞🏻But you’ve all been jabbed so if the worst comes to the worst you’ll all be protected from the worst. Shame you had to alter your visiting plans, but needs must.
Looks like you’ve kept busy anyway. The walled garden area is going to be really smart when you get it finished, and there’ll still be room for the frogs too. He does look a big one! The pansies will probably last longer in the pot than in the driveway. At least they shouldn’t get run over! Anyone collected any pots yet?
Blimey, you do have a lot of bonsai pots and trays. You need more bonsai!
Sounds like Pandora was happy you packed up, bet you are too?
Plastic bags are so handy. Again, needs must 😊

  2. It is a big frog!
On a mission to get organised, probably won't last as it is out of character so will go with it!
