Twin sunflowers and other garden beauties.

This morning Darren and I went to the boot sale as usual, not busy as it was quite damp and grey early on. We were back quite early and I started doing a bit more sorting, we didn’t bring lots of extra stuff back, I got some audio books and Darren a couple of dvd’s.
I still have stuff everywhere from the sorting to get put away this evening. After lunch I went out and did some weeding in the walled garden, I worry about the frogs hiding under the weeds when they get too big as I would hate to tread on one.
We watched the very exciting Grand Prix then I got on with dinner. While there was nothing to do I went out and took some photos in the garden. The two  small sunflowers are both opening in the front garden and the two tall, bird food planted ones are now both opening in the back garden!

Then the rest of the beauties including Blue lounging on her new favourite place!

After dinner I walked down to the front with Tina as she had left the car there earlier when she had gone out to dedicate the lovely new benches in the memorial garden. I saw them as we walked through on the way to collect the car.

We went and had a look at the sea before coming home.

Another beauty to finish as the yucca looked stunning when we got back!

  1. When you see lots of lovely pics of flowers like you have on here tonight, it makes all the gardening seem worthwhile. You have a great selection in the garden. I think the sunflowers growing into the tree are great, and I really like the plant in the rockery, whatever it is 😊
Sounds like your day got off to a good start with a bit of booting and a no doubt a sausage bap. The weather want wonderful here this morning either, so I doubt my local car boot was very busy. I really must go one week, it’s been a very long time since I have. I could do with some bargains!
Those benches in the memorial garden are lovely. I really hope the oiks don’t decide to paint them a different colour! I particularly like the one with the poppies.
Looks a pleasant evening at the front, and not very busy. Bet the surfers were out in Scarborough making use of those waves.
Yukka is a strange name for a plant. It makes it sound like it should be ugly, which it certainly isn’t.

    1. It is handy having home grown photo opportunities in the garden for days when I am not out taking snaps! We have had some great flowers which sort of makes the work worthwhile!
The benches are great, not usually too much vandalism in the memorial garden, so fingers crossed.
