National Book Lover’s Day

Very nice special day today, I have never been a great reader but I do really love books.
I started a jigsaw last night, I got this one at the boot sale and liked it because it is such a different and interesting image.
This morning I did some household chores and then went out and cleared the paths and steps that lead to the garden bin. It had become overgrown again and that isn’t too bad when it is dry but not great when it is wet!
After lunch I had a bath and then spent some time on the jigsaw which I am really enjoying, it is a fun one to do.
I went to see David and Sarah as usual this evening and when I came home I watered the bonsai trees and the tubs in the front.
Took a couple of photos while I was out there, sky and at last a gladioli had flowered!

A highbrow obscure word this evening!
Hypozeuxis (n.): A rhetorical term in which every clause has its own independent subject and predicate (I came, I saw, I conquered).

  1. I like books. I love big bookcases full of them. I wouldn’t read them, just look at them!
That’s a very unusual picture on that jigsaw. It looks quite a hard one to do as well. You have more patience than me. I would’ve thought that you’d find that piece to fit in the bottle on the shelf. Should be an easy piece to find.
Glad to hear you’re only did a little bit of gardening again. I know the bit you mean, and it is something that really needs doing. Should last for a little while now until it needs doing again.
With your little trip out visiting this evening you’ve had quite a full day of things. Nothing too strenuous though, which is good. I can see you having a mad week in that garden at some point soon! 😊
Blimey, that’s a word and a half. Definitely too highbrow for the likes of me. It’s made my head ache just reading it!
