We had stopped on the way to have a drink and breakfast near to a very fancy fast charger which Tina made use of.
We went to shopping area near the river where the PC World that Tina had an appointment at later in the day. We checked we were at the right place and then went and h ad lunch at a very nice, and reasonable local Italian restaurant group. We had a quick look in Pets at Home and there was still about hour and a half until Tina’s appointment. It was sunny and quite hot then and Tina said she would go to Macro and see how to get a card for use by the church. I said I would take a walk along the new path by the river. The bridge was a long way off and you could only see one of the uprights.
I walked quite a way along, passing this interesting building.
I actually passed the Macro car park and spotted Tina’s car right in the middle, the blue one half covered by a tree!
I walked far enough to be able to see most of the bridge, but still a long way away!
Tina phoned me and asked if ai had had enough walking by the river, she suggested we go to B &Q garden centre, so I headed back and she walked along to meet me. We bought lots of reduced plants so a gardening weekend I think.
Also managed a photo of an unusual insect and a bee!
I sat in the car while Tina had the laptop sorted out, I played my word game on the phone and read an interesting article about the living Dead in India!
I like the reflected trees on the window of the store.
We had tea and cake in the same restaurant before heading home. We passed one accident between and car and a van and another where a bus had hit a deer!
I watered the plants when ai got home and have prepared everything to remake one of the Christmas cakes in the morning.
My hands have been bad today, have just about managed to finish this as they are getting more painful by the minute.
Blimey that looks like Wandsworth prison! You wouldn’t want to get tangled in that very often. But I bet it does the job of keeping the oiks out.
ReplyDeleteI bet that fast charger for the car wasn’t free. You get so used to getting it charged for free that it’s a bit of a shock when you have to pay. If she did up to pay that is.
Sounds like you had a good time in Hull, but you usually do. The bridge was a long way off, and definitely too far for you to hobble there 😊
I like the glass igloo thingy. I’d quite like to live in one of those, or a windmill or lighthouse.
Yes, definitely a bit of gardening this weekend by the looks of it. Don’t get too carried away though.
That’s a weird insect, but a good pic of it. The bee pic is nicely focused too, shame the bee didn’t look at you!
The little restaurant you went to for your meal and snacks sounded good. I bet you’ll be going there again sometime.
Such a pain remaking the cake. Not good either that you’ll be mixing it by hand, with gammy hands!
Yes, Tina did have to pay for the use of that charger but it is quick, the free ones are great but very slow.
ReplyDeleteI was gobsmacked by the security measures where we parked, but I sure it does the job a treat!
I really enjoyed a walk by the river and seeing the bridge, even that far away is always a thrill. The plants were really reduced, will do my best to get them all in position over the weekend.
