Sarah and David were given passes to Wassand Hall gardens as a present and today they took me along with them to have a wander round. We went in the walled gardens and for a walk it the more woody area. The photos pretty much speak for themselves, you will not be surprised to see that it is mainly flowers and insects!
Today was a members only day so the cafe wasn’t open so we went on the Hornsea Garden Centre for a welcome drink.
This evening I have just watered the bonsai trees and the flower tubs in the front.
Then, shock and horror, I have been making a list for the ingredients to make the Christmas cakes. Seems odd as we only delivered last years in April!
A couple of walks up the main street is certainly better than weeding the garden! And the fact you forgot about the letter makes me feel better about my lousy memory!
ReplyDeleteYou really are into the bee photographs at the moment, and have captured some great photos including the first one tonight.
Wassand Hall gardens look really nice. Really nice of Sarah and David to take you along there. You do have a lot of nice photos, including quite a few with bees and other insects. A very nice collection though. I know you managed to get some good shots in your own garden, but it’s always nice to have a bit of new scenery to concentrate on. Definitely worth another trip there sometime.
Christmas cake time again! Hopefully we’ll be allowed to have them for Christmas this year 😊🎄🎅🏻🧑🎄 Ho ho ho.
It was good to take photos of bees and hover flies somewhere else! I never thought a while ago that I would be taking reasonable photos with a camera, was quite resistant to start with.
DeleteIt was good of them to take me along for their first visit, hopefully we will go again before they close of the winter at the end of October,
Such a lot of cake ingredients, quite scary!
