The duck was just adorable so will take a closer one. I know I need another ornament as much as I need a hole in the head, but it was just soooo cute!
The gecko is already up in the bathroom and has plenty of company as I have them all over the walls! I had spotted a hoody type top on the way round, I loved the slogan but it was only a medium. Anyway, it was still there as we were leaving so I took a chance. I managed to get into it with difficulty and got Darren to take a photo.
I did say I got into it with difficulty, that was nothing compared to trying to get it off! I couldn’t, so Darren had to pull the back up for me so that I could reach it! Might have to just hang it on the wall!
We were going to watch the Grand Prix but it was a total wash out! I made a rice pudding as we had a milk mountain, but by the time I had made a lot of cheese sauce for the dinner I had to go and buy a small bottle to last until the morning delivery!
When the dinner was on the way I went out and watered the back garden and the tubs at the front. I have loved these small alliums in their different stages, they were gorgeous red pom-poms, but they are still attractive now they are seeding.
The jigsaw states that ‘A devilishly difficult puzzle for those who enjoy a challenge’, I can confirm that this is the case, thanks Darren! The coin is a 5p.
Not convinced it will get finished, but I do like a challenge and don’t like to give up!
A new Vera on tonight so we will watch that.
Glad you got out to the boot sale. Going early was a very good plan from the sounds of it! Those places do get busy nowadays. Quite a nice little haul today. The duck is very cute, so had to be bought. The puzzle on the other hand you should have left there. I’ve no doubt you’ll finish it eventually as you don’t like giving up on things. Definitely give it to a charity shop once you’ve done it so someone else can suffer π I wish I could have seen you trying to take off the hoody π
ReplyDeleteFrom milk mountain to milk shortage. Seems like you keep the milk marketing board in business as well as the bird food suppliers!
That’s a really nice pic of those alliums. Very sharp foreground and nice out of focus background. I love to see flowers when they look a bit “tatty”.
Enjoy Vera. No doubt Pandora will watch it too π
Vera was good but I was struggling to stay awake. Some good bits at the boot sale, I think the duck is adorable! May try to do a bit more puzzle tomorrow.
