Then we went to Orton Mere and went down to look at the river, a very regular haunt of mine when I lived in Peterborough.
Then we went back across the railway line and had a walk along the path that leads to Ferry Meadows.
We stopped at a bridge and then turned back but took some photos. Actually the one of me with Isobel was still at Orton Mere.
We went to Notcutts garden centre and had a look round, starting at the pets building. Then into the main building and had lunch. I took this photo as we were leaving as the bush in the middle was unusually shaped.
Anya and I had a go with the hula hoop gadget in the car park, she managed no better than me! Then we went off to visit a lady that I had been friends with when Anya was small, she got her daughter to come over as well as she and Anya used to play together.
It was lovely to see them after so many years. Nora had only got in touch with me again last week so brilliant timing!
Have just had a relaxing evening and plenty of chat.

Another really nice day for you. Where is the doughnut shop? They always look nice when I see them in Queensgate, but I rarely have one.

Isobel is getting so big now! It doesn’t seem that long since she was a baby. I must be getting really old!
It was nice that both you and Anya got to meet up with old friends. Such a coincidence her getting in touch just before your trip.

The Krispy Kreme store is at Hampton, you really should try the donuts!
