A bit more variety

It was a lovely bright morning so I thought I would go for a walk. Tina suggested the Trans Pennine Trail which seemed like a good idea, although you do have to walk a fair way by my recent standards to get to it! I kept my gloves on as it was quite cold, I have found that I can take photos on the phone with them on but cannot zoom in on anything, so full screen pictures it is. The first one of the church as I headed out.
One at the start of the trail, it really is a nice walk.
Then a couple more when I got to the bridge.

I had made a small flask to take with me but there are no benches on the trail. When I got to the end I decided not to walk up to look at the sea but head homeward so that I could have a sit done in the memorial gardens. I had actually been walking quite a while be then and felt in need of a little rest!
When I got home I had a FaceTime chat with Anya and was telling her about the beanie hat with a light that I had been given. While demonstrating it she took a picture!
When Tina was back from her service in Skipsea we decided to go out for a bit as the weather was still good. We went to Beverley as she had some Lakeland vouchers. It actually clouded over on our way there but it stayed dry. She managed to get a parking place in the market square which was good and an extra bonus was that it is free to park on a Sunday!
We went to Lakeland and The Works and had a quick look in the antique centre. We took our shopping back to the car and I sat in while Tina went off to get us hot drinks. After about twenty minutes she texted to say she had ordered and was waiting. The time ticked on and in must have been another twenty minutes! She had ordered beef rolls as well as the drinks, they were amazing and huge with what seemed like half a cow in them and plenty of gherkins!! So despite her having to hang about so long they were really good.
When we got home I went out to put the fox food in the usual places. The skies had cleared again and it was a lovely evening.
Quite a busy day and plenty of exercise for the knee so I decided to watch a film I had recorded. Hidden Numbers, it was really good and base on a true story. Pandora decided to sit on my lap for a bit which was nice.
A quiet evening now I think!

  1. What a nice day you’ve had. Done different things than you have of late and had some nice sunshine to take pics in. You can actually buy gloves specifically made of a material designed so you can still use the touch screen on your phone. Not that they’re essential. The full screen pics are always nicer I think, and if you need to zoom in you can always walk a bit closer 😊
The trail looks nice and a good place for a variety of pic opportunities. Hopefully by the summertime you’ll be galloping along there camera in hand.
I like your funky hat. Handy for putting fox food out when it’s dark I suppose 😊
Beverley looks quite deserted. I’ve not been into the town here for a while, but they’re not as sensible here, they mingle like loonies without a care in the world!
You definitely should have taken a pic of the half cow roll!
I think after everything you’ve done today a quiet evening is definitely the right choice. Assuming you don’t get bored and decide to do some sorting!

  2. Beverley looked deserted then but it was actually quite busy, queues outside a few of the popular shops with sales on.
It has been a nice day and the weather was good so glad to have made the most of it.
