Tina was at the church for the Christmas Tree festival and we had a grocery delivery coming. I needed to get to the chemist before twelve as there are three in town and they all close at lunch time on a Saturday! While we were waiting for the delivery some shoes I ordered arrived. I have been looking for some shoes that are wide and not fabric so that I don’t get wet feet when it’s raining! Since I had the ankle operation I have not bought shoes with normal backs, have just had the padded ones. The new ones are imitation snake skin and do have normal backslash. I have worn them out a couple of times for short walks today and they seem to be fine.
After I had been to the chemist I went along to the church o look at the trees. I only took one picture but the church was well organised with a one way system and plenty of people on hand to maintain social distancing. It was a truly miserable day but Tina said they had more than fifty people turn up to see the trees.
I did go out for a short walk this afternoon but then saw that Half A Sixpence was on tv, did doze through some of it but nice to see Tommy Steele.Aching a bit so hoping it will not be the prelude to another difficult night!
It’ll all be worth it in the end. I’m sure you’ve heard it said before, but are probably doubting it the way things are at the moment. You’ll laugh about it all another day....hopefully!
ReplyDeleteChristmas tree festival always sounds such a nice thing, specially with all the hassle everyone has been through lately. At least it got to go ahead and we weren’t all locked down again. Although I’m an old Scrooge when it comes to Christmas these days I have to say it’s nice to see the trees all decorated like that. Not so humbug at the minute 😊🎄
Take it easy breaking in the new shoes. Don’t go walking too many miles just yet!
Hope the night went well 🤞🏻
The trees did look stunning and it was good that quite a few people went in to vein them.
ReplyDeleteNot planning on doing any long walks just yet, but will be good to have a waterproof pair at the ready!
Certainly hope that the discomfort now will soon be forgotten and it all most definitely worth it.
