Tina has been collecting boxes for a while to use in the church, but she didn’t need them all so there was a collection of them in the hall, Pandora couldn’t resist checking them out!
Hornsea do a ‘Living Advent Calendar ‘ each year, a map is published in the local paper and from the first of December a different house decorates a window and people can go to see them. Tina had the vicarage down for the 24th so I helped her get it ready this afternoon one photo before we added some more stickers, it will be turned on tomorrow, but we had the lights on to check it out and take pictures.
Hopefully the weather will be a bit better tomorrow and I will feel inclined to get out for a short walk at least.
It’s been pretty much the same here weather wise. A real wintery day. Sounds like you’ve kept reasonably busy though, and done some useful jobs. Doesn’t matter how much you tidy and sort it always regresses back to an untidy state in the end. Just cut out the middle bit and leave it untidy. It’ll save you no end of work 😊 I suppose if you’ve been listening to decent music it makes the job seem easier.
ReplyDeleteWhy do cats always have to get in things, or sit on things they shouldn’t. They just don’t care. I heard someone say the other day that dogs have owners and cats have staff. Sounds about right to me!
The window looks nice. It’s a great idea to spread it around the town like that. Not quite so good as a normal advent calendar though as you don’t get chocolate. Or do you give them some if they knock at the door? I think it’d get busy if you did!
Not sure what the forecast is for tomorrow. But I bet it’s not much better than today.
