Early riser, and a walk to the sea

I slept in the bed last night, or at least attempted too. After plenty of tossing and turning and very weird dreams I got up just before five. I checked when sunrise was due and not until just before eight, so I left here just before seven thirty and had made a small flask up to take along with me. It had actually rained during the night and was pretty cold and grey out, but as I was dressed and ready I set off anyway. I noticed those stencils in a restaurant window the other day, really like them, might have to go in and ask where they got them!
This house had definitely got into the Christmas spirit!
Sadly no visible sunrise today, took some pics from the bench I was sitting on, bitterly cold so glad I had made a hot drink to take with me!

The legs were complying a bit by the time I got home, so sat with my feet up for a bit and used an ice pack. My new, rather funky compression socks arrived. A pack of six pairs and designed for people with larger calves. Softer material too, so I have had a pair on since this morning and they are relatively comfortable and definitely fun!

I coloured another one of the cat pictures, they are quite fun to do.
Tina went along to the chemist to get the dressings for me which she ordered yesterday and was going to ask if my some miracle I had some more pain killers waiting. When she came back she had a lady with her carrying a box! I had seen a gorgeous pig in the second hand shop, but not second hand, he does sell other stuff, and she had been in and bought it for me! A beautiful face and I have called her Primrose!

Goodness knows where I will display her, but ai will find a suitable place.
We had a short trip up to
Freeport this afternoon, I wanted to go and have a look in Regatta as I had seen a fleece reduced on line. Luckily they had it at the same price and had my size. We didn’t go anywhere else, it was still bitterly cold.
Will finish with a couple of pictures of Pandora. One looking cute in the dining room downstairs and one on my lap a little while ago. She has suddenly decided to get on my lap occasionally and at the moment ai can’t let her stay there for too long!

  1. Busy old day for you today. Nice to get out early for a walk to the sea. Shame you weren’t rewarded by a colourful sunrise, maybe another day. Love the pic of the locks. Simple but interesting. It does look a bit gloomy, and certainly cold in those pics, but still nice to get out. I really like the restaurant window decoration., and the occupants of that house certainly have the Christmas spirit, maybe too much of it 😊 Humbug!
Not much can be said about those compression socks other than they’re definitely you! A good selection of patterns to wear too. It won’t seem quite as much of a chore now that they are a better fit and a little more colourful!
Primrose is lovely, and you’re totally spoiled 😊 🐷 Definitely some advantages to convalescing with all the flowers and pressies you’ve had. You’ll have to get booked in for the other knee!
At least you should be warm upstairs this winter with new socks and fleece. You can save a fortune on the heating.
Pandora does look cute laying there. I’d just be a bit wary about her digging her claws in your knee getting up or down. It’d definitely make you say “flip”.

I was pleased to make it to the sea, I will try and get wine walking in every day and build up the strength in the legs.
Love the pig and pleased to get a new fleece, so all in all a good day.
