I wrapped a couple of packages this morning and late morning Tina drove us down to the post office and then we got sandwiches and a cuppa from Lily’s cafe. It was raining and she brought out lunch out to us in the car. Took some pics from the car.
When we had eaten the rain had eased so we did wander out, but it was very cold so it was a brief look!
We went back to the car to finish our drinks and the rain and nasty weather rolled back in, so some more pics from the car!
Back home my new book had been delivered. I have just finished reading one set in the Second World War which wasn’t exactly cheerful, this one is along the same lines as the Richard Osman whodunnit so should be a light hearted read.
Will finish with my little shadow again who joined me for a while earlier, luckily she doesn’t stay too long and the foot rest I got at the boot sale supports my legs well.
I’m sure your mood will soon lift as you’re not one to wallow. It must be hard trying to cope with the pains along with a lack of sleep. Not really something I’ve had to do myself, so I count myself as very lucky. You’ll laugh about all this in a month or so when you’re up and about a getting around pretty normal..ish. The other knee operation will be a breeze!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got out for a while with Tina. It does look pretty miserable from the car, but the pics are actually quite atmospheric. It was great that the cafe owner brought your lunch out to the car. They are really having to do a lot to keep business going. Well worth continued support when things get back to normal.
All this enforced rest is giving you chance to catch up with a bit of reading at least. Even the cover of the latest one make it look funny, so hopefully a bit more cheerful than the last one.
Pandora looks really cosy laid there. Butter wouldn’t melt and all that..... 😊
Will do my best to be better humoured tomorrow although I am expecting it to be a rough night again,
ReplyDeleteIt was good to be out for a while but certainly not a day for a stroll!
Looking forward to starting the new book, should be a giggle.
Pandora has been an attentive ‘nana watcher’ since I got home.
