Same old, same old

Yesterday evening I started a special card for a couple in the town. I tried simple decorated letters on this one and the calligraphy is improving. Easier when it is larger of course.
This morning I went out into the garden, decided on the corner where the great sea kale are. They have to be cut down in the autumn. I did some digging and turning the ground over, that was the bed where we had the roots ground down, and I still dig up large bit of roots. I had an absolute mountain fo rubbish and the garden bin is full to over flowing!

For the rest of the morning I folded letters and prayer sheets for Tina’s congregations and got them into envelopes. After lunch I went out and got all the rubbish off the lawn and into two very large green sacks that we have. I think we will take them to the tip.
In the post today I got a set of stamps from China, couldn’t wait to have a little play as I love them.
I cut up some more suet blocks and took them down to the greenhouse. Picked these tomatoes. Just love the double one!
The plants in the pink cart that I painted are really offing it in there and are growing beautifully.
Tina bought a whale jug in the Town House shop that she couldn’t resist. You can’t help but smile when you see it!
I almost missed the sky tonight so just a couple of pictures with the phone through the window.

  1. That really is a lovely card. They’ll be really happy when they open that. They’ll appreciate the time you’ve put into it.
The garden you did today looks nice. It’s surprising just how much rubbish you dig out when you’re doing it. Wonder how many tons you dig out in a year? Frightening I bet!
That’s a nice set of stamps. Looks like they print pretty well too. I know that sometimes they look good but don’t print as well as you expect. Perfect for autumn cards.
Seems almost a shame to eat the double tomato, but it has to be done! Maybe it’ll taste twice as nice.
Love the jug! That is such a great idea. You’ll all have to be very careful you don’t break it!
We had a nice sky here this evening, very pink like in your pics.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

    1. I am pleased with the card, I have always liked calligraphy when I get back into it.
I am getting the beds in the front garden tidier, we have a group coming to weed the drive in a couple of weeks.
Really like the stamps. I use some little inks I have to get the variety in colour.
The tomato isn’t quite ripe yet so it will live to see another day or two!
