Puzzle and trip to Aldbrough

We were all up early today as Tina was doing her Thought for the Day life rather than it being a recording, this morning both the cats were on the red carpet!
A couple of pictures from the camera again, we are trying a different view again tonight,

Three volunteers were here today making a start on removing the weeds from the drive. They have made a good start and two of them are coming early tomorrow to clear some more.
I have spent a lot of the day listening to my book and finished another puzzle!
This afternoon Tina had a meeting at Aldbrough church and I went along for the ride, quite an interesting ride as it turned out as we hit traffic and then a diversion. Tina drove like the wind along very narrow twisty roads, quite an experience! I did a pencil sketch of the church for an hour, will put that after the photos I took.

After I had finished sketching I sat in the entrance arch while I waited and took that selfie!
Now the sketch, the vicar for that church liked it so will probably pop it in a frame and give it to her!
Tina went along to the mere with friends tonight to see the sunset, so will finish with one of her photos.

  1. Healthy household is usually a sign of every one up early. Or a bunch of insomniacs! The cats look happy though and it means they get fed earlier too.
One of these nights you’ll hopefully find th3 right spot to capture where they are coming in. Looks a bit foggy in that pic from 3am.
That’s a nice puzzle. I wish they still used buses like that. I used to enjoy them as a kid. Nice soft seats and very rickety, wonderful! Very utilitarian these days.
Glad you got a trip out to a day. That’s a nice looking church. Nice weather for a bit of sketching too. I can see why the vicar liked it. She’ll love it when give it to her framed.
Like the sunset pic. The Rev isn’t so good with her horizons as you are 😊

  2. It did make a change to go out and do a bit of sketching, should make the effort more often.
That was a nice puzzle to do, the box had two different ones in from the same era so I imagine I will enjoy that one too. Darren bought a round one at the boot sale for me, I have just sorted the edges and have realised that the board I am sousing isn’t big enough! So will get the jigsaw thingy out tomorrow!
It was a nice sunset tonight,
