Boot sale and damp evening sea

I haven’t been too active today, trying to listen to my body and the legs are definitely saying NO! I was put pretty early putting out the bird food. Spotted these unusual fungi in the fruit bush bed.

The pretty hydrangea on the patio is beginning to change colour now. I love the way hydrangeas do that!
Went with Darren to the boot sale as usual, not so busy today, it did look like it might rain which may have put people off. Got a few bits and pieces, five lovely cyclamen for £4. I am not usually good with cyclamen but there are a few round where Charlie is buried, one pink and four white ai think. Thought it would be nice to add some more colourful ones.
We got two little mats for £1 each and I got two lovely tiny otters, also for £1 each.
The silly buy of the day, a whole 50p was this tea infuser! I have used it this evening but need to get some loose tea! The tea in teabags is too fine.
Made a roast dinner and also a concoction dessert using some not very tasty scones up. Tina had thought we might go and see the sunset but it had started raining. We did take a ride up to Mappleton anyway. Took the actual camera but needn’t really have bothered!
Strike to watch tonight, if I can stay awake, and then an early night I think!

  1. Good idea trying to take things easy for a while. Knowing you it won’t last long though!
That is unusual fungi. Wonder if it’s edible? I’d love to know which ones are and which aren’t. I’ve even got a book somewhere with 100’s of them in, but I still don’t trust myself to identify them correctly. Looks like I’ll be sticking to the supermarket variety for now.
Some good bargains again today. Really like the otters and love the Manatea. You do find some great bargains. That one is extremely unusual.
Does look very gloomy at Mappleton, but at least you got out for a ride and the smell of sea air.
    Enjoy Strike.

  2. The legs do feel a bit easier, hoping they are okay soon as I have quite a lot of plants to get in now!
Yes, we got some good bits today and didn’t spend a great deal.
It was good to see the sea, really nice with the cliffs at Mappleton.
