Early trip to Hull and back to gardening

This morning Darren and I were away to Hull just before seven thirty. Darren’s car was being MOT’d and serviced and he had a curtesy car so we were in Hull by 8.30 am. We stopped for a coffee before doing anything else, which was just as well as nothing opens very early in the town these days. We split up for an hour or so, I was getting some keys cut for Tina and wanted to go to the bank. Had to queue while I waited for the bank to open at 9.30. The town was pretty quiet then.
We met up again a bit later and had another refreshment break and then Darren drove to The Range at my request. I bought a few bits there and then we headed home, there were lights just by the little round house so able to take a picture today.
This afternoon I spent a couple of hours in the garden as I was feeling a lot brighter. I worked round the large bed in the back garden weeding and hoeing again and then got the rest of the plants I had put in Darren brought me out a cup of tea and I sat on the swing for a bit soon to be joined by Pandora. She was up on her hind legs taking in the views, think she fancied trying to get on the canopy!

I had a squirrel sitting fairly close to me as I worked.
This evening I spent a bit of time with Sarah and David and we watched a rock and roll dvd.

  1. Sounds like a very nice day altogether. Really nice weather for it all too. Hull does look a bit deserted.
I do like that round house, I’d love to live somewhere like that.
Great weather for a bit of gardening too. Hopefully you didn’t go over the top with it. Pandora looks quite happy to spend some time in the sun too. Hope she didn’t see the squirrel!

  2. Lovely weather today and it was good to be feeling a bit more energetic. Knee isn’t too happy tonight but hopefully it will settle.
Pandora does like to be near her people.
That little round house is just gorgeous.
