As I hoed and raked I saw a movement and am very pleased to say that I didn’t harm this handsome fellow!
Damaging him would have started the day very badly! Luckily the cats were indoors so I was able to steer him to safety before I continued. The rest of the walled garden needs attention again but I just did this area as it was making my shoulder hurt.
I walked down to the chemist and bought a couple of adhesive cold pain patches. Heat ones can flare my skin up so steered clear of them. The Sewing
Centre is closing and I bought this kit from the bargain box outside.
Then I bit the bulletin so to speak and got on with finishing one side of the A board. So far so good, still have to add the National Lottery logo.
I have varnished the jigsaw three times, so cut the paper away, got the little drill out and it is now hanging on the landing.
The mirror has been down in the downstairs loo for some time now. It needed painting and than a new one putting in its place. Tina had the shaver unit removed and they had left a large, rather ugly black box covering the wires. But the first jog was painting.I had thought I had the right tin of paint out but it was the wrong green. The others are all piled in the stone outhouse which is crowded and damp. Moving stuff what ai thought was a leaf moved and I narrowly missed damaging anther frog! Four tins of paint later, battling with stuck on lids the wall was painted! I hung it over the black box so not looking too bad!
That mirror is made from recycled tyres, we have some planters made the same way.
Then I did the other side of the A board, they are pretty similar and anyway you can’t see them both together!
Got dinner for Darren who then set off to meet up with Tina for their mini break. I have put the fox food out and watered the bonsai trees, not plqnning on doing much else this evening!
A busy and varied day for you again. It doesn’t seem five minutes since you cleared that walled garden before. It grows so quickly it’s frightening. Glad the frog got away unharmed. I think they are weird looking things but cute in a strange way. That bit definitely looks better now it’s cleared, until the next time!
ReplyDeleteOh no not Christmas things already, it’s only September! Anyway Boris probably won’t let us have Christmas this year. I think the A board has come out really well. I certainly hope you’ll be getting free tea and cake for designing and manufacturing it.
The jigsaw looks really nice hanging there. Definitely better than breaking it up and returning it to the box after all the effort you put into it.
I quite like that mirror. You would never believe it was made from an old tire. Recycling at its best.
So you’ve got the whole place to yourself for now. You’ll be lost for things to do without having anyone else to run about after 😊 Definitely a lay in in the morning.
Yes, quite a varied day, nice to have something to show for it too. Two frogs and both quite big ones, in fact three,Monte was in a tub of water where it seems to live, could have been one I had already seen I suppose.
ReplyDeletePretty pleased with the board, I think they start in a week or so.
The mirror is really clever, think it is Fair Trade as well.
I am pleased I bothered to keep the jigsaw.
I really loved reading your blog. It was very well authored and easy to undertand. Unlike additional blogs I have read which are really not tht good. I also found your posts very interesting. In fact after reading, I had to go show it to my friend and he ejoyed it as well! zero entry fee
