The only other thing I bought was in the other store, a canvas of giraffes which I have already given to my friend Jacky.
We had a very nice lunch there and a good chat then came home, so not out for more than a couple of hours. As we were leaving they had already got massive Christmas displays, obviously thinking that people will be celebrating as usual!
When I got home I had a nice surprise on the post, my certificate and badge from the blood donor service.
I have finished reading Them Sisters of Auschwitz’ this afternoon, sometimes a tough read but a pretty fantastic story of two very brave women. Have the
Richard Osman book to start, which from all accounts sound very good and very funny.
When I went to put the fox food out I was watching a squirrel on the lawn so will finish with those pics.
I like places like that where you can rummage around and find different stuff. I like the plaque. Lunch out is always nice, and garden centres always seem to do nice hearty food.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Christmas stuff already! They’re very optimistic, I think it’ll be cancelled totally this year if Boris has anything to do with it 😊 Humbug!
I’m so pleased you got the 50 donor pack. You didn’t think you’d make it there at one point but kept on trying. Hopefully you’ll get a few more yet. Darren must have a drawer full of them by now 😊
Enjoy your new book, hopefully it’s a bit more light hearted than the last one!
The plaque was a great find, must get it up with the others tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLunch was good and a chance to chat while we waited for it to arrive.
I was chuffed to get the pack, had thought for a while I might not reach that goal.
May start the new book this evening.
