Wet and windy Beverley!

Despite the weather I decided to catch the bus into Beverley for a change of scene and some different shops. My legs were a little better today but I took the walking stick along just in case, it is a folding one so I had it in my bag. I did manage to walk right through the centre of the town and as far as the antique centre. I did see a couple of spider brooches but resisted as they were both a bit blingy. But there was a McMillan coffee morning on in the cafe there so I supported that. When I was there before I took a photo of eels on the street in Well Lane, today I took a photo of a footprint tile in Walkergate! They do some quite unusual things there.
I didn’t get quite as far as the minster but took a picture from a distance.
I bought another round jigsaw in a book shop and got a couple of bits in Lakeland. The veggie bags are made of recycled drink bottles. I had lunch in a nice little cafe and then a coffee in another one near the bus station as I had a while to wait.
Tina and Darren were home when I got back and I had a haul of lovely gifts waiting for me. The felted toadstool is stunning and I may do a bit of colouring tonight. We had takeaway together so may have to leave it a bit before I try the chocolate!
Will finish with a lovely autumnal sky this evening.

  1. Glad you managed to get out somewhere different today and that you managed without the stick. I must admit I thought you’d come back with some spider jewellery. You are being good. Looks like it was pretty much the same weather that we had today. I like the footprint slab. You should have some of those in your garden. You could have a family collection of them. How’s there’s a project to think about.
Your spellchecker is having fun with the minster, or monster as it likes to call it 😊
Lots of stuff today with what you bought and the pressies you got. Lots for you to do, not that you need things to occupy your time.
    Love the final pic.

  2. I was really pleased to have made the effort, actually quite enjoyed wandering around with no particular schedule.
