Spotted this gull on the way to the front.
I walked to the other end of the front to see if the little kiosk was still open but it has obviously closed for the winter now. So a view with the start marker for the trans pennine trail.
The leisure centre has been closed for a long time and due to be opened again next spring. The library and information centre will be based there when it reopens. It has really stood out with the purple cladding while it is being constructed.
A few shots of the sea now.
I stopped for a drink and sat near the paddling pool, thought it would make a good subject to practice painting reflections.
This afternoon I have been blitzing the clothes and other bits, have four bin liners to take to the charity shop now. Have also gone through a pile of paperwork so a productive afternoon.
When Darren got in after archery he got me to go out and have a look at the sky. The clouds were quite spectacular in the moonlight. The photo is not great, you need more than a point and to take decent pics in the dark!
The last watercolour workshop tomorrow.
It has been a nice weather day and even I went out. A walk by the sea is good for your health, so you’ll be tip top again by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHope the gull didn’t leave its calling card on the car roof!
You really do manage to capture some good pics of the sea. I love the silhouette type pics too. One of my favourite styles to do myself. Really like the railing with shadows just before the reflection pic, which I’ll look forward to seeing in painting form. I have to disagree with you about the moon pic. I personally think it’s very good. Less is more as they say, and you can see exactly what it is.
All that and sorting out stuff too. Don’t you ever sit down? 😊
It was good to get to the sea on a good day, haven’t had too many sunny days lately.
ReplyDeleteIt has been really good to get some clearing done, a way to go but hopefully I will keep the urge to carry on for a bit.
Watercolour workshop tomorrow, light and shade this time.
