Walking to the shops this morning it was interesting to see how work is good no on the Co-op building. The Co-op is downsizing and the shop will be less than half the size it is now. They are keeping the two doors as they are near each other so today one of the large windows had been removed, presumably to make an entrance for whatever shop is about to appear in Hornsea.
The wooden edging round the front lawn has been run over so many times it was beginning to look a real mess. Mentioned it to Darren and Tina and they agreed and we decided it needed to come up. So my gardening today was removing them. The hit ones were easier to pull out, but the others looked silly with them removed so I had quite a collection of them by the time I had finished!
While I was waiting to be picked up to go to a craft class I took a picture of the sky, as you do!
Mags gave me a lift to Withenwick to Abi’s button wreath class. A nice group of us there, we had lots of laughs and I really like my little wreath. Also got plenty of practice with a glue gun, I have never really got on with them before.
Another lady called Helen gave me lift home as she lives in Hornsea. Mags live in Bempton and invariably gets lost wherever she goes!
No particular plans this evening. Although I will listen to a classical cd of a piece of music I am going to hear live tomorrow night.
Awww, she does look cute in that box. Butter wouldn’t melt 😊
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the shop will end up being? Probably a bookies or a Greg’s 😊 They seem to be everywhere these days.
What are you going to do to edge the driveway now? I would suggest metal spikes or broken glass, that make people drive a bit further away from the edges!
Another nice silhouette sky pic, with a touch of black and white too. You always manage to spot a good one somewhere.
I do like your little wreath. Is it going to go on your lounge door ready for Christmas?
One person told me Heron stores were going to extend into the space, as they are next door. Another told me it is going to be a Boyes. Looks like we may not have to wait too long.
ReplyDeleteNow we have the gravel on the drive edging isn’t quite so important, a.though obviously the lawn will spread if we are not careful!
Haven’t decided where the wreath will go but I am pleased with it,
