Living Well meeting and Freeport

Yesterday evening I made a start on a bigger dot art project. Not a lot done but will give updates as it progresses.
This morning was the Living Well meeting, a very good speaker talking about keeping as fit as possible, gave up a lot of tips and answered questions, very enjoyable session.
Had lunch with Tina and then, as it was dry, caught the bus up to Freeport. I went in a couple of shops and had a drink then walked back. I came the longer way via the road as I imagine Polly’s Path would have been like a pond. I took a picture of some fungi before I set off and a piece of dead fir tree as it looked great with the dark cones still attached!
Also a picture of the large spider outside Bugtopia!
It was raining when I set off to walk home but it did begin to clear and some blue sky appeared.
I haven’t done a great deal since I got home, found the walk home quite tiring today.
Will watch a bit of Children in Need, would like to see the Strictly special.

  1. The gecko is looking good. I imagine it’ll be very colourful when it’s finished. Another for the bathroom.
I think I need to go and get keep fit tips. I could definitely do with being a bit fitter! If you walked back from Freeport that’s your keep fit for the day. Good idea avoiding Polly’s Path specially if you weren’t wearing wellies!
The dead fir tree branch would make a nice decoration, but I guess it would fall to pieces if you tried to move it. Makes a good pic though, ad does the giant spider. You need one of those in the corner of your garden.
I’ve seen a lot of blue sky today, which I honestly didn’t expect, specially as I was in Harrogate. I know it’s a way from the badly flooded places, but I did see an awful lot of flooding in the countryside. Fields that looked like lakes. Quite scary really.
    Enjoy your program tonight.

  2. Good that you had good weather and not rain all the way for your travelling.
I need to work out how I am going to do the background of the gecko, it has to be dots all over!
The dead piece of tree was attractive, but I think is would have disintegrated if I’d try to move it.
