Lights Night

This morning I went along to the Living Well meeting as usual, today was a tech surgery, I chatted with one or two people and helped supply drinks and clear away. This afternoon we were waiting for deliveries and for Debbie to arrive, who had to make a detour due to a serious accident on her route to us. This afternoon where was a rainbow and then a great sky.

As it was getting dark I made my way to the church to photograph the trees. Some with the lights off, some with them on and a couple with the church lights dimmed. Quite a few to look at! But one of the church on my way there.

Krissie and Steve’ s dog Beatrix was dressed for Christmas, not sure she was happy about it!

I did go for a walk along the street, which was closed for the lights being turned on and lots of stalls to visit.

This one was taken just after the lights went on.
Will finish today with one of the Methodist church, out of focus but makes a good picture!

  1. Another pretty varied day for you. You never seem to have time to get bored there as there’s always something different going on.
The Christmas trees look really nice in the church. It’s good that people want to make the effort to do things like that still. I can’t imagine all churches are so lucky. Bit of fun for you too getting to photograph them.
The dog looks very Christmassy. Like you I’m not sure she looks too happy in the se nod pic. There should be a speech bubble in there with whatever she’s thinking. It would make a good front for a Christmas card.
They do seem to like a bit of a street party up there. I wish I lived somewhere that had that sort of atmosphere. We’re all humbugs down here!
I quite like the last pic.

  2. Quite a different day and the trees were splendid and they had loads of people through the church to look at them this evening. It really does seem that Almost all the town turns out to the events which is really good.
