I haven’t done any gardening for a while but thought I would at least make a start on the walled garden today, it looks a real mess, and I wanted to get the garden animal ornaments cleaned and packed away for the winter.
I started to clear the leaves, unbelievable how many gather there although there is a big tree from the park overhanging the walled garden.
Blue came to check out what I was doing!
Darren and I went up to Freeport and had lunch and then did some shopping at Poundstretcher. When we got back I got the three fruit trees that Tina had been given into the nice new plant tubs she bought yesterday. I do need to get some more compost but they are safe enough for now. Also did a little more tidying and got the tools, and the ornaments put away.
I probably only did a couple of hours out there in total, but it was a start.
Not doing much now, looking forward to Strictly in a bit.
My windows only get cleaned outside once in a lifetime and the inside once a year if I remember! I quite like the first pic with the bat in focus and the background out of focus. Quite arty.
ReplyDeleteThere’s a lot more work in that walled garden than you think. It’s the leaves that make it ten times worse. It does look better now though after your work today. The trees in the pots look quite heavy. Hope you weren’t lugging them around too much. At least it’s done for a while. Good job is wasn’t tipping it down.
Enjoy Strictly. I wonder if Mike will be in the bottom two again.
Window cleaning, not a favourite pastime, but with our odd secondary glazing cleaning the inside of the actual windows is a bit of a challenge! It doesn’t take a lot to put me off doing it!
ReplyDeleteThe trees were quite heavy but I didn’t have to move them too far and did them one at a time.
Strictly was good, I think Mike will go this week.
