Busy day

A couple of pictures of the morning sky, it has been a varied day weather wise, all of a sudden dark and raining, and just as quickly clear blue skies and sunshine!

I wanted to call in at the surgery to see if I could make an appointment with Doctor Latif as he doesn’t appear on the list when booking on line. I also had a package to post  then shopping for lunch, so set off for the round walk. Seems that there have been some less than able drivers around!

There was rain around when I was going up to the sea , but always worth a look and a picture or two........

The lions in the memorial garden were looking splendid, some sunshine on the way home.
On the way home I spotted a towel rail outside the Lions charity shop, it was wet as it was raining again by then! Asked how much it was and was told £2, the guy said it would have been £5 if it was dry!! Definitely bargain of the day and I think Pandora agrees!
After lunch I decided to try and gather some of the wet leaves from the flower beds and over the path at the back of the garden. So many!

It doesn’t appear that I did much but spent about an hour and filled a large garden waste container I have got twice and it is about waist high! Only just managed to squash them all into the garden waste bin.
I ordered a book that was mentioned by the speaker at the Living Well meeting on Friday, it arrived today. It was written by a lady who was working with astronauts and helping them to regain their mobility after being in space.
The dot art session tomorrow and Sarah was telling them that I made cheese scones ‘to die for’ last week. So made some for then to try tomorrow.
Quite a full day, going to see Sarah for an hour this evening.

  1. You have been busy. Probably too busy!
It’s been pleasant here all day, no sign of rain. I’m sure we’ll suffer another day though.
You do appear to have some “clumsy” drivers in Hornsea. The lamppost almost looks like it’s been bandaged up 😊
The big heavy dark clouds over the sea look good. Not quite so good for you when they empty out though! The memorial garden looks like it was taken on a totally different day. Amazing what a difference a little bit of sun poking through makes. The bargain towel rail makes up for the la k of bargain hunting on Sunday morning. Ridiculously cheap at £2!
It’s nice to have a big garden with lots of trees, but it’s a bit of a nightmare when they all drop off! Don’t think you’ll need the new book as you never seem to be sitting much 😊
You do make nice cheese scones, so you only have yourself to blame for that one. I could eat one of those right now!

  2. Yes, quite a full day, just need to get ready for the dot art class now then I am sorted.
The weather hear has been changeable as you can see from the photos.
So many leaves and they are wet and slippery as well as looking a mess!
They won’t be getting scones every week!
