Early start and quite a full day

I had woken early and couldn’t get back to sleep so was out of the house soon after 6 am. Walked to the sea hoping to catch a sunrise. Not great today but waited until it was up even thought the cloud was obscuring it.

I walked along the beach a bit and saw where the flood water was being drained.

A few more of the morning sea.

I went with Darren to the boot sale and market. We enjoyed our breakfast panini and looked around, not a lot of stalls considering it was a lovely morning. Didn’t buy anything except a couple of bars of chocolate. When we got back I went to the shop when it was open to get stuff in for dinner then went to Burton Constable with Darren where he had an archery competition. I walked round the grounds and took some pictures of the pumpkin trail that was still evident

I thought the light in this next picture in the blacksmiths made an interesting picture.
Then I made my way to the house.
A selection of shots from inside.

That statue is called Blind Love.

A couple of sky shots, Darren’s competition went on until quite late and then they asked me to hand out the trophies! No pictures of that I am afraid.

A couple of silly selfies to finish today,

  1. Lots of pics today!
You had a really early start. You have more energy than I do these days. I don’t know where you get it all from. Whatever pills you take, I want some 😊
I actually quite like the sunrise pics with the mist and clouds. They’re very atmospheric. What is flooded in Hornsea?
Booting is always good whether you buy anything or not. You get a trip out with Darren and breakfast too. Win win 😊
I love the pic of the skeletons. They really look as though they’re laughing. Made me smile when I saw it. Love the one after it too of the pumpkins on the bales. Great colours and lovely light. Worth the trip just for those two, but you got lots of other nice ones too. The house does look a great place to visit.
Some really good sky shots to end up with too. You got the day from one end to the other. A full day for you, but worth it. Bet you’ll sleep better tonight!
Glad you took a selfie with the skeletons, I would have too 😊

  2. The field just beyond the sea wall was flooded, so the Marine Drive is closed at the moment.
The skeletons were fun to see, must have selfie really!
It is a lovely country house and fabulous grounds too, quite lucky that Darren has archery there as it is impossible to get to on public transport
