Dot art and garden centre

This morning we had five people dotting, one lady was missing as she has just had knee replacement surgery. A good session, Frank made two more coasters, he says he had done what he wanted now, won’t come again but has enjoyed it and never done anything artistic before.
He is in his eighties so a good effort. Audrey did a coast as well and the others worked on their bigger projects.

I carried on with the gecko between helping others and using the hairdryer!
It was a good session and I think there will just be three people next week, but that will be good.
Pandora decided to have a rest on the top of the kitchen door!
I felt like getting out and maybe getting a bit of fresh air so Tina dropped me off at the garden centre. The musical Christmas displays are in full swing.
The model village is attractive, it was surrounded by glass so had to stretch over to take the pic.
A couple of shots of the beautiful corals in the fish tanks.

I walked down to the bus stop and had a while to wait. It has stopped raining so I got my shot of fresh air!
Last night I got the sewing machine out, I want to do some free embroidery where you have no foot of feed dogs, I have sewn my fingers doing this before! I have dropped the feed dogs but cannot get them up again! It doesn’t matter while I am doing the free embroidery but not great when I want to do some proper sewing. Will sort it out when I have finished this project.

  1. Those dot are efforts are all great, and if the 80 year old has never done anything artistic then it goes to show you’re a good teacher. The gecko is looking really. Definitely perfect for your bathroom. Are you adding much more to it?
Great pic of Pandora on top of the door. The best part is the fact she actually looks comfy 😊 Weird things are cats!
Good to see you got your Christmas animatronics fix at the garden centre. You love them really 😊
I’m sure you’ll soon get the sewing machine sorted once you’ve finished the freehand stuff.....and don’t sew your fingers....it’s not big or clever 😀

  2. The gecko is done, could do more but think I will stop now! Will get it varnished which will brighten it up. None of the ladies that come to the dot art have done much craft either, so on the whole it has been successful and they really enjoy it. Tamar made lovely shortbread to bring today.
I was pleased with their he photo of Pandora, she is a pretty agile cat!
The Christmas displays make me smile!
