Cat ornament and dowels for dot art!

This morning I was waiting for the Ringtons man so went in the dining room which has been closed as there are too many of Tina’s treasures to let cats, particularly Pandora have the run of the room. She is a pretty agile cat and likes to be high! She makes a good ornament!
I spent the morning on overdue household chores, ended up being a bit of a workout! When I sat for a break Pandora joined me!
I finished cutting up dowels and then sanded them, really worrying that I wouldn’t get them flat enough. Took a surprising amount of time but I did draw some Christmas tree shapes and tried them out. Didn’t work too badly so that is good.

I will do some more samples to give the people at the session ideas if they are struggling.
Watching an old ‘Weakest Link’, used to really enjoy watching that!

  1. Oops a daisy. Has the Rev seen that pic yet? She’ll be having palpitations 😊
She is a very cute cat though and looks extremely comfy on your lap. I should think you were ready for a rest after all the household stuff.
That’s a lot of dowel cutting and sanding, but they look good and by the looks of your test pieces they work pretty well too. I really like those trees. Perfect Christmas card material. I think the session will go well if they’re anything to go by. Hopefully you’re going to spend the rest of the evening relaxing!

  2. She is surprisingly light footed, she gets up on my shelves and hasn’t knocked any of my treasures off......yet!
Bit of a pain doing the dowels, but that is the worst bit of preparation done now.
