Waiting around and feeling poorly!

I had a really bad night coughing and blowing my nose and with a headache too. Darren and Tina have both had this cough/cold and this time I have joined them! I was expecting two packages today, a 5 kilo bag of mealworms and my new speedy hoe. I took my phone, iPad, a puzzle book and a novel I am reading down into the dining room so that I could watch for delivery men. Saves me trying to rush down the stairs when the doorbell goes.
Had lunch with Tina and by then no packages, so back to watching out. Luckily I didn’t feel like being too lively today although I would have tried the new hoe. The mealworms were delivered at about 3 pm and at 4.30 pm I phoned the company to see if the hoe was still likely to arrive. Nice lady said she would check it out and phoned me back quite quickly to say it had initially gone to the wrong depot, was now at the right one but would now be delivered tomorrow.
As I hadn’t been out I wrapped up and walked down to the front with the intention of having pensioners fish and chips. I don’t often walk down in the evening and had never seen the window at the URC look like this before.

The tide was in and crashing against the walls. I took some pictures with the phone, I am not great with it and it doesn’t r act the same as the camera. But quite pleased with the results, even got the seagull in one!

Had my fish and chips and walked home. The bonus of sitting around means I have almost finished the book I am reading.
Have I Got News For You is back tonight, I do enjoy that.

  1. After a rough night waiting for the parcels probably did you a favour. Gave you a bit of a rest. It’s really annoying when things don’t arrive on time, specially if you’ve sat about all day and it’s something you really want to try out! Hopefully it’ll arrive at a sensible time tomorrow and not tie you down so much. Probably a good idea if you have another steady though to help with the cough/cold.
Those pics are great considering they’re from the phone. You always manage at least one with a seagull. It’s like a trademark 😊 Fish and chips was a good way to finish things off.

  2. Bit of a strange day really, I do hope the hoe turns up fairly early and it isn’t raining,
Getting better at using the phone for photos but still don’t rally like using it!
The fish and chips were tasty......
