They are popping up like weeds, but are very pretty. We had a couple of hail showers this morning and the wind was cold but thought I would make a start on the bed at the right side of the front of the garden. It is full of bushes that need to be removed. I can’t get to the weeds or the regular rubbish thrown into the garden!
I worked for about an hour and soon realised that the area is not filled with bushes but tree saplings. There is at least one massive tree root that had about twenty shoots growing out of it. Doesn’t look like a lot of clearance, it will be a long and pains taking job!
This afternoon Tina and I went out. We had a very nice lunch at a farm cafe and they had this brilliant sign!
Then we went into Bridlington for a wander around. Very enjoyable although the wind was really bitter. Did manage to take a couple of sea shots with the phone.
We drove home and as the sun was shining I had a cup of tea in the summer house. Feeling quite tired this evening and I think I am developing the cold that Darren and Tina have been suffering with.
I have a new hoe, different design, coming tomorrow so am hoping I can use it and we won’t be knee deep in snow!
That bed does look like really hard work. You really need to be careful you don’t overdo it! I know how stubborn you are for getting stuff done. Hopefully the new hoe will glide through weeds and make gardening a joy 😊
ReplyDeleteI like the sign at the cafe. It should actually be written into law!
Bridlington looks pleasant today and you’re getting some good pics on the phone. Level horizons too. Show off!
Enjoy a relaxing evening....hopefully.
That bed will definitely be a little bit at a time! Looking forward to getting the hoe and using it too.
ReplyDeleteIt was bright in Bridlington but a very strong cold wind, blew the cobwebs away!
The sign is great!
