Back home, although I wasn’t feeling too keen to get out in the garden but decided to start clearing the dead daffodils and weeds from the side garden.
I had a break as it was actually making me sweat! I wasn’t sure if I would carry on!
After a rest I did carry on and cleared right along the patch. I have a mountain of rubbish to go in a garden bin, if only I had a second bin!
It means you can really appreciate the plants now. They are so colourful, except the white daffodils and tulips that I got in a coordinated pack.
When Tina got home I asked her if she would take me to Woods to collect the varnish I had ordered. We had planned to feed the ducks at the mere afterwards but when we saw the traffic on that road we settled for and ice cream by the sea! I had taken the better camera along so took a couple of pics anyway, although I have taken these sort of views many times.
I have drawn flowers onto the sign so may do some painting of them tomorrow. I watered the gardens and managed to keep the hose reel still, that causes me such problems, by using a heavy watering can!
Blimey, you did well to get all that garden cleared. It looks a huge area in the picture! You could definitely do with two bins. You’ll have to fill some bags and get D or T to take them to the tip. Glad that Tina took you to get the varnish and for a little trip out. I should think you were well pooped after all the weeding!
ReplyDeleteIt was quite hard going and pretty warm in the sun, can definitely see where I have been though.
ReplyDeleteI think you can get the big bags at the tip, that may be the way to go.
Was nice to go and look at the sea.
