Bempton Cliffs

It has been a full and fairly varied day. I was out pretty early watering the garden as it was a bit late when I got home yesterday, and I put a final coat of varnish on the sign.
Tina is off today and as the weather is forecast to get colder and wetter she said she would take me for my birthday outing to Bempton today. I do really love it there. We had been going to have breakfast at the farm cafe we went to a couple of weeks ago but it was closed, so we went to Eastfield garden centre and had a really nice breakfast there. Then off to Bempton. It was bright but not actually sunny most of the time. I really couldn’t see what I was photographing most of the time and only caught one half decent picture of a gannet in flight. Some of the others I am happy with.

The bug hotel as we were leaving was pretty impressive.
We went to a plant nursery on the way back and bought a few plants. Liked the water on the lupin!

We stopped at Mr Moos on the way home so all in all a fabulous day.
I did some hoeing and got the three larger plants into the ground and the sign was collected and he was delighted with it.

We have a lot of holes appearing on the lawn and have decided it is the birds gathering the moss for their nests, they are making quite a mess of it and there must be about twenty holes to date!
Weary now but in a good way.

  1. You got some great pics today. Birds and plants. It’s definitely a lovely place to visit. I remember it well. Glad you managed to get there while the weather was still good..ish.
Breakfast on the way and Mr Moos on the way home was a great plan too 😊
I knew he’d be really pleased with the sign. It looks great. You’ll probably get more orders now.
Those holes in the lawn look quite big. I wouldn’t want to bump into the birds that did that 😊

A very nice day and my Bempton fix for this year!
Very pleased to end the day with a happy recipient of the sign.
