I set up a table on the spare room and sprayed the sign. We can open the window in there and I kept the door shut so this time the whole house doesn’t stink! Later in the day I sprayed the back and then this evening used the yacht varnish on the painted side. It will need a few more coats yet.
I went outside to clean up the fairy garden bed which is horribly overgrown and the poppies have run amok!
As you can see despite the weed killer the weeds are growing through the gravel pretty well too. It was very hot out there but I did keep going until it looked reasonable again.
As you can see the pink bin is full again, pity I couldn’t get another garden bin. I went to close the greenhouse, put the tools away and top the bird bath up and had to take a picture of these fabulous tulips.
I have been to Atwick church with Tina this evening for the Easter service. Not a large congregation but a lovely service.
Happy Easter everyone!
Quite a varied day for you. A little bit of everything included by the sounds of it. Can’t believe you didn’t win a prize....you always win something!
ReplyDeleteI’m looking forward to seeing the finished shiny sign. Bet you’ll be pleased to get it finished too. I hope you signed the back before you varnished it 😊
The fairy garden looks a bit better. That’s a lot of weeds to come out of a bit of garden that size. You’ll have to get Darren to do a run to the tip with a few bags.
Hope you get some eggs tomorrow 🥚
That bed is so dry but the weeds and poppies flourish anyway!
ReplyDeleteI will be glad to have the sign finished, takes such a lot of layers to get it shiny though!
I don’t think eggs are on the cards tomorrow, probably get reduced ones on Monday!
