Keep up the walking if possible, and Happy New Year!

I have done some sorting today, finding homes for extra stuff and and getting recycling put in the bin as it will be collected this week. Went to the local shop and out into the garden to top up the bird feeders when the rain had stopped. After lunch I walked to see Jean, went via the sea front. Quite chilly but a good few people around, even on the beach.
A nice wintry shot on the way to Jeans.
I stopped for a little while, Jean loved the gonk! Terry offered to give me a lift home but I said I needed to keep the exercise going as I want to be match fit if the operation takes place in March as planned. I called in to see Bel for a little while on the way home to see how she is nd thank her for the jigsaw she bought me for Christmas.
I unpacked the two wooden kits I bought in Peterborough, they were on offer and I got an extra £5 off because I signed up for the stores loyalty card!
Looks like they could both be a bit fiddly, but I have enjoyed the other two wooden kits.
Not sure if I will stay up to midnight, the night is young and I am feeling quite tired!
In any case, wishing you a healthy and happy new year.

  1. Sounds like you’ve had a fair bit of activity today. I hope walking both ways while visiting doesn’t cause you any problems tonight.
It does look a little bleak at the front today, but still nice.
    I love the wintery pic.
I bet Jean was chuffed to bits with the gonk.
I’ll be looking forward to seeing the progress with the wooden kits. They both look good, but I’m favouring the gramophone at the moment. I’m sure they’ll both be good once you finish them though.
Don’t think I’ll make it to midnight either. I’m struggling to stay awake already, which isn’t a good sign.
Happy New Year to all three of you. Hopefully you’ll be getting some mobility back before we get too far into the year 🤞

  2. Thought you would like the winter trees. Still awake at the moment and have started the wooden jigsaw, may manage to stay up this year!
