Up the tree and cutting well!
Bel phoned to say she wasn’t feeling too well so wouldn’t visit today, so I decided to take a walk to deliver a card for a friend who lives near the se front. Took this picture near where she lives especially for Mike, who really loves pink houses!
Card delivered then went to look at the sea and had a cuppa at The Hub.
The lads were still working into the afternoon, they cut down an awful lot of wood.
I went to the dentist because of the bit of filling falling out. She wa surprised it was sensitive when she poked about on my gum and made it bleed, and said maybe I would need root canal treatment, but she filled it anyway and we hope for the best. No injection, or even drilling, a few minutes and £121 lighter! It isn’t hurting so I am hopeful that I won’t need any further treatment.
I have managed to get a few pieces into the never ending jigsaw. I plan to finish it before going away next week.
I have been thinking about trying the barefoot shoes for a while, and as they were on sale at a great reduction during Black Friday I ordered a pair. They arrived today, I ordered a size larger as that was recommended if you had wider feet. They fit and feel very comfortable, very light and thin, but I tried walking of on the gravel drive and it was okay, so I think they may be a success.
The back of the garden looks so different, five meters off is a lot so no overhanging boughs and that flower bed at the back will get sun, and maybe even a little rain in the summer!
I went to lock the gate, wearing the new shoes, and then went to collect a piece of wood making had left for me. He had cut one earlier and I collected that as well, moving then on the rollator. These pieces were from a branch! That is one massive tree, or should I say was!
A couple of late afternoon pics.
Have been trying a couple of natural remedies by local ladies, so will have to see how that goes with pin relief. Watch this space!
Strictly final tomorrow.
If there’s a way to damage the new feeder you can guarantee the squirrels will find. Hope it last for a while at least!
ReplyDeleteBlimey, the tree lads cut a lot of old stuff away. It looks a bit bare out there now. What are you intending to do with the bits of wood you salvaged?
Shame Bel didn’t visit, but at least you got out to the front, and managed to take a pic of the beautiful (NOT) pink house for me! 😂 I’ve never been able to understand why anyone in their right mind would want to live in a pink house!
I think the charge from the dentist was disgusting! How can they merit that amount for a few minutes work. No wonder she only works two days a week! Rip off merchants.
Di you not try the barefoot shoes once before, or do I just remember Michelle wearing them? They do look comfy though. I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with them. I imagine they’ll wear out quicker than other shoes though.
You’re flying through that puzzle 😂
I haven’t tried the shoes before, will go for a bit of a walk today to test them.
ReplyDeleteIt does look bare at the bottom of the garden but I am looking forward to getting that bed sorted when I am able to.
That jigsaw is unbelievable, but I will be happy when I have another Turner picture on show!
