To the boot sale a bit later

There was a misunderstanding over the grocery delivery and it was due today instead of Saturday. We had decided to give it a miss this week as it gets very busy later in the morning. But instead of between nine and ten it arrived before eight thirty, so we decided to go after all. I got some writing paper and some audio books and a little garden stand that I thought would be good for a couple of my bonsai trees. Darren also got me a delightful little framed picture. I have taken a close up of it because it is a really charming watercolour.
I did do a bit of gardening, strimming and some weeding in the front garden, but didn’t keep it up for long as my knee has been particularly painful today. So put watched the Grand Prix with Tina and Darren and then put my feet up for a bit before getting dinner.
Have gone out of sync again as Darren drove up to the front after the boot sale and we had a hot chocolate. The wind made it a bit cold for ice cream!
The bowl of succulents that I bought at the flower festival just before I went away has begun to flower,
Some garden shots to finish, the two on the thistle were better that I expected as the bees were on one way Boe my head, so it was a shoot and hope!

  1. It was good it arrived earlier than you expected otherwise you’d have missed your bargains. The framed miniature watercolour is really lovely. A great find for you by Darren. The stand looks like the perfect size for the two bonsai. So definitely worth going.
It wasn’t so warm here today. It’s not really been cold, just not as warm as it has been lately. I actually contemplated a jumper at one point! I have to say I’ve still had ice cream though 😊🍦
Glad you’ve not gone too mad in the garden today, although it does sound like you’ve managed a few odd jobs out there. It’s all looking very pretty.
The bee pics were a good catch. Not the easiest of subjects at the best of times.

  2. It was good to go after all and pleased with the purchases and nothing expensive. In fact not much over a fiver for it all!
I am hoping the leg will settle down a bit, but not holding my breath.
I think Marc Warren is a great Van Der Valk 😊
