Darren got a couple of bits and we came straight home.
Had a chat with Anya and then did a couple of chores before Tina got home. After lunch I went out and did some hoeing and edging, but for less than an hour. The row of hollyhocks re looking good.
This daisy just opening had an unusual ladybird on it.
The Bird Buddy needed charging but did have one different shot to save before I brought it indoors.
This afternoon we enjoyed the thrilling tennis match and well done to Carlos!
No rain today, but think I can give the watering a miss, it has been good to have a rest from that particular job.
I have another book by Celia Fremlin so may start that later.
It’s not like you to be late for something. You’re very much like me and like to be on time, or early. I’m sure Darren wouldn’t have minded waiting a little while. Clovelly looks a very nice place. A bit like Scarborough looking at the sloping street, so not so good for the legs! After we spoke earlier I was trying to think where I’d seen those jars. They are so distinct. Now having seen the pic it’s just annoying me more 😊
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn’t overdo it in the garden today. At least you’re not having to water at the moment, so that’s a bonus. The hollyhocks do look really nice.
That’s a bit different pic from the Bird Buddy. Don’t think I could manage to eat upside down!
Enjoy your book.
They are Bonne Maman jam jars, I have bought it in the past and I expect you have. I bought a dozen and she had loads more, so presumably they eats lots of jam!
ReplyDeleteIt was a really good tennis final, probably the best one in years.
I only added the fat ball holder to the Bird Buddy this time, so good to see it being used.
