We have three flowering hostas now, as I have said before quite a novelty for me, they have always been eaten anywhere else I have been. Two have pale mauve flowers but another has white ones,
The white hollyhock is flowering now with the buddleia behind it.
In the walled garden there were hover flies on the lobelia, did manage to capture one!
The cats were enjoying the sunshine.
I got a really lovely letter from my sister and wanted to write straight back. The problem being you have to get to the post office for a later collection. So, decided to walk there and then hopefully see the sea as well. That rollator has made a big difference,
I sat on the swing for a while, enjoying the garden.
Tina is having a quiet day in Hessle and sent me some photos from the foreshore, jealous, me?
Went to the front again with Darren and we had fish and chips, well, actually I had a pensioners portion and Darren had sausage and chips. Nice except for being bothered by thunder bugs!
I have watered the pots and trees in the walled garden, taking a chance with the actual gardens,
Fairly active again by recent standards. I was really tired from the morning walk but no serious after effects so maybe the meds are making a bit of a difference.
The dustbins have been a great solution to keep the squirrels out. Hopefully they won’t suss out a way to get into them 🐿️ I like your new bird feeders too. The squirrels are going to really hate you before long!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the leaves on the hostas to the flowers. I know, I’m a sad git!
A cats life really is good. They loll around all day, get fed, sleep anywhere they fancy and generally make the most of life. I think we should all come back as cats.
I had deja vu that you were going to get a letter from Margherita today, or was it just because I posted it? 😄 She’ll appreciate your speedy reply. It got you to go to the front too, so that’s definitely a bonus. Sounds like the new pills are kicking in at last.
Lovely pics of the bridge, but it’s rubbing it in a bit that you’re not there to enjoy it too. It is a nice bridge.
All in all a pretty good day. Hopefully tomorrow will run along the same lines.
I like the leaves of the hostas as well, just liking the fact they last long enough to flower in this garden! The Praying Hands one is getting buds as well now, wonder what colour they will be.
ReplyDeleteI guessed you had posted the letter, she should get the reply by the weekend, fingers crossed.
It was good to get out for a bit of a walk, still exhausts me but worth it to get out and about a bit.
Can never get too many pics of the bridge!
