Welcome rain and bird visitors!

Yesterday I charged up the Bird Buddy and removed the attachment for the pole, then added the fab ball holder. I put it back in the pen yesterday afternoon but just a couple of squirrel shots last night. It took a while to attract the birds before, but don’t seem to have starlings in the garden as the moment so fingers crossed for a bit of coarse!
This morning I visited Bel and she had a photo album out for me to look at. They were wedding photos. She got married in 1953, wore her sisters wedding dress, a friends veil and her mothers headdress. She looked lovely, I would not have recognised her, but she is a ninety one yer old now. I copied one as it is a lovely photo.
I went to the shop and then had lunch with Tina when she got home. After lunch I did walk round and saw Sher for a little while, always a pleasure, it was raining lightly by then. That rain has got heavier and has been coming down for a while, which is great. But the wind is getting very strong so fingers firmly crossed that the sunflowers survive!
The Bird Buddy has hd visitors today and I am delighted. A young robin and a young great tit. I will add a few of  the pics.
Both of them in that one!
Will finish with another bird picture, a heron in a tree sent to me by Anya.

  1. That’s a great pic of Bel. She really does look lovely there. There’s something really nice about looking at old photos.
Sounds like your day has been light but pleasant. Glad you got out for a while. We’ve had rain here virtually all day and the forecast says to expect more. A very welcome sight for you after such a sparse time lately. Hopefully you won’t get too much now and have the plants washed away!
The Bird Buddy is one of the best things you’ve had lately. It produces some really great images which you’d never get under normal circumstances. I look forward to seeing many more in the future.
    Don’t think I’ve ever seen a heron in a tree. I obviously don’t look hard enough 😊

  2. It was a pleasant day, what with tennis and enjoying the latest book as well, all in all good. Looking very rough outside now, we have a lot of wind at the best of times!
I was so happy with the little feathered visitors today.
