As it has been wet some toadstools have suddenly appeared on the lawn!
I had put antirrhinums in the planters nd in one of them they are flowering beautifully.
I bought some mocha sachets yesterday and some oat mile the other day, so thought I would make a drink and see if it turned out like the ones I have in Bemora. I wasn’t quite a creamy but pretty nice.
This afternoon I decided the banister needed cleaning as it was getting greasy. It was really bad, good job I found some grease removing wipes, I needed quite a few! I did wipe the struts as well and after a rest did polish the banister as well.
I had the Bird Buddy on charge and when the rain eased off I put it back in the cage. Wandered round the garden then, photo of one of the tiny alliums that are so lovely, and a couple of the bees on the sea holly.
Three bird pictures to finish, baby chaffinch, a sparrow, and a not so sharp, but incredibly cute on of a robin!
Definitely not car booting weather today, but regardless of weather it’s always good to go for breakfast 😊 Quite a few little jobs done and out the way too from the sounds of it. The banister is one of those jobs that is harder work than it seems when you start. Not sure you should clean it really. It adds to the patina and shows how many different people have used it since the place was built. Well, that’s my excuse for not doing it 😄
ReplyDeleteAre they toadstools or mushrooms? 🍄 I’m never sure, and that’s why I never pick any wild ones. Really should learn which ones are safe to eat as there are lots of them around.
When you made the matcha tea, did you just stir it in? Maybe they run it through a blender to make it creamier.
The bees really do like the sea holly. It looks like there are four on that one.
It’s a real shame the last pic isn’t totally in focus. It’s a great pose. As if it’s saying “Are you taking my picture” 😂
I don’t know if they are toadstools or mushrooms but safer to presume they are toadstools!
ReplyDeleteThe bees really do love the sea holly, actually we do have quite a lot of bee friendly plants which is good.
Yes, that is a great pose, guess it wa just too close to the camera.
