Chores and a bit of gardening

I took pictures of my birthday presents that were left with Anya as I was coming home on the train. A super picture and a lovely 500 piece jigsaw.
Anya also gave me a couple more things, a great puzzle book and some cute earrings. The puzzle book is a sort of cross between logic puzzles and Cluedo. I tried on of the easy ones last night and I think they will be fun to do.
Some bird visitors again today, mostly the dunnock who is in its element now it has found a food supply!
I spent a while sorting out the laundry room, we keep the cat food in there as well. Does tend to become a dumping ground. Then I got the new picture up on the wall.
I walked up to the cafe near the mere to meet Tina who had been visiting a care home nearby.
I spent quite a while trying to make it easier to work out the ingredients I will need to make eleven Christmas cakes!
Took the list when it was done along with a collection of containers over to the Leafy Green Dragon, it should all be ready tomorrow.
Jayne came this afternoon and did some weeding of the gravel for me as the lawns didn’t need mowing. I worked out the for a while and tidied up under the bench.
Couple more birdie pics to finish.

  1. Lovely otter picture, but the jigsaw looks like it might be a nightmare to do! Good job you have patience. The book also looks like it might end up with some hard ones. Well they would be for me, but you a seasoned on puzzles of both types.
That’s a lot of charts to draw out just to make cakes! You’re a glutton for punishment. Maybe one of these times you should just give everyone a printed cake recipe for Christmas instead of a cake 😄 I look forward to seeing the large pile of ingredients when you get them.
The bird pics are just fantastic again. If I had a garden like yours and not a shared one I’d definitely buy one of those Bird Buddies.

  2. The picture is fab and I am sure I will enjoy the jigsaw. I am sure the Murdle puzzles will get trickier as I work through the book.
The bird pictures really are fantastic, I will have thousands before long!
