Quiet day with visitors

The only time I went out was quite early to get some Free from cakes as Jean wA coming to me this week and has food allergies. Saw Tina off as she ha gone to Mirfield and will be home sone time tomorrow. I got a load of washing in and hung it outside after Bel’s visit. Bel was on good form, came on her buggy and was even without a jacket today. She has been enjoying the tennis.
Have started the two week course of a different medication, no signs that they are doing nothing yet!
Jean came for a couple of hours this afternoon. She enjoyed coming here for a change. Both ladies thought I should frame the picture I coloured.
Was watching tennis, Andy was back on court, when Darren got home. Made him a cuppa and light tea before he went off to his club.
I hd intended watering the front garden this evening but ended up using watering cans for everything in the walled garden and also for the tubs in the front. My leg was just too painful to be moving the hose around.
A lovely hollyhock is opening in the back garden.
And the tubs are beginning to look good in the front.
A bit more Wimbledon and then the final part of Blindspot.

  1. Hopefully the two week course of pills will kick in soon so you can get back to something resembling “normal”. Probably that’s expecting a bit much for a few pills though.
At least having visitors today kept you busy for a while, and it sounds like you made the right decision not to drag the hosepipe around. I know you said the leg wouldn’t let you, but I know how stubborn you are at times! 😄 The tubs do look good in the front garden. I see the gravel is turning green again out there. Doesn’t seem long since you cleaned it all up last time!
I love the pic of the hollyhock. Looks great with the background out of focus.
Enjoy a bit of telly with your feet up.

  2. A quieter day, but needs must as they say.
That hollyhock is lovely and quite unusual to have three flowers together like that.
Ever hopeful the knee pain will settle down a bit before too long.
