Mid morning I realised I had missed. Call from Bel. No message and it was strange a I had seen her yesterday and we don phone for a chat. So I went round to her house in case there was a problem. I had l phoned her back first but no answer. No sign of her at the house so I went to her neighbour who I know phones her every evening and does odd jobs for her. He went in to get his keys and I was ble to see what a good view they had of the folly from their garden.
His keys didn’t work today and although he could open the garage he couldn’t see if her buggy was in there. Just as we were wondering what to do next a man went by, asked if we were looking for Bel and said she was shopping he had just been talking to her. Phew! On the plus side, I have never been at the back of Bel’s house nd she has a super viper of the folly.
The first courgette has been picked, quite a few more forming.
We had some rain today, not oodles, but enough for me not to need to water tonight. Just one picture of a plant enjoying some natural wter!
This afternoon, a bit of reading, bit of tennis, another delivery of bird stuff moved to the greenhouse. The cats found chairs to stay comfy!
I have had a shower now and tennis to watch, the last Brit standing is about to play.
One of these nights you’ll get a decent sleep, well that’s what you have to hope.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine panic setting in when you realised you’d missed Bel’s call, and then not being able to reach her. At least it all turned out well in the end, and you got to see the great view Bel had from her garden. She’s very lucky.
Glad you got a bit of rain today, even a little is better than none, specially if it means you can avoid watering for the night.
I really must get in the shower now before I talk myself out of it.
Is the last Brit standing Andy?
Sadly not Andy, Katie Boulder, newly British number one lady, but playing the defending champion.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be seeing that folly every day. Such an unusual outlook!
Was definitely thankful for some rain.
