Early watering!

I was too tired and sore to water the gardens so as I was up early and it was supposed to be cloudy all day so I watered both gardens this morning. The sun did come out briefly but soon disappeared again. There was a shower later in the day but the sun appeared and the ground was soon dry. I did go out into the back garden with the strimmer and the lopper and did some clearing at the back near the summer house. I haven’t gathered it up yet so a job left for tomorrow.
On the journey home last week I bought a drink bottle. This one has a mouth piece the is attached to a straw in the bottle. Maybe everyone else has one but I was delighted with it!
I visited Sarah and David this afternoon, David had enjoyed his party on Saturday.
I had a wander round the garden and the bees were loving the sea holly.
A couple more plants and then they the courgette plants which are really big now and have small courgettes forming.
I have still been doing the on line puzzles and saved this one as I may try to do a sketch of it.
Listening to an audio book of Jane Eyre now.

  1. Now you have a new hosepipe there’s no stopping you. Morning watering is ok like you say if it doesn’t get too hot during the day. It’s not been quite as warm here today. I even had to put a jumper on for a while! The drinks bottle with the spout is good. I have one I keep in the fridge and take water to bed with me. Much better during the night as it saves spilling a cup full down your front! 😄
The sea holly not only looks lovely it’s also bee friendly. Can’t be bad. We need more bee friendly plants in the country.
I love courgettes. Do you still make the courgette, rice, soup combination. I’ve not made it for a while.
That’s a great puzzle pic! So much detail. Should be fun to sketch.
    Enjoy your book.

  2. The new hose is good and I could wheel it round to the front garden.
I haven’t made the courgette concoction for a long time, may make courgette cakes again this year, you never know.
