Feeling ‘normal’, sort of!

Tina had an appointment in Hull today and I went along and had about three hours to spend in the city. I took the rollator as I cannot walk far without it and we parked a good distance from St Stephens which I wanted to get to for some toiletries. Walking to the centre I had to take a picture of The Empress public house.
I needed something in Lush and then went and had a drink in Waterstones. Ended up buying two books, I think Iwill enjoy both of them.
I got my toiletries and looked in several clothes shops as I wanted a light cardigan but didn’t find anything. Had a sit down near the water feature.
That little lad was having a whale of a time! Liked this sign, and back at The Empress they had impressive hanging baskets.
A lovely street to walk down on my way back to the car.
My leg was pretty sore by the time I got to the car, had the spare key and started reading one of the books while I waited for Tina. She had got to go to the cremation for a funeral but had time to have a snack at a garden centre about half a mile away. I stayed T the garden centre and had a slow walk round and had another drink. They had the recycles plant pots and I loved a different one, so decided to buy it and plant to go in it.
Haven’t done a lot this evening except get the plant into the pot.
Have my feet up this evening and hope I won’t regret my very enjoyable ‘normal’ day tomorrow!

  1. But what is “normal”? ๐Ÿ˜„
It was great that you felt a bit better about life in general today. I know the pain has been getting you a bit Dow, so it’s nice to hear you had a more “normal” day. Onward and upward.
Always nice to get out with the Rev for a trip, specially to Hull, which I know you love. Always a great place for pics too, and today is no exception. I really like The Empress. It’s a lovely building and colourful too. Specially those very nice hanging baskets. Looks like it was nice weather for all your pics too. You’re a very lucky photographer at times ๐Ÿ˜Š
I really like the new plant pot. Another one to water. You do make a rod for your own back!
I hope you don’t suffer for your nice day ad it would be a shame. With any luck you’ll have another nice day tomorrow.

  2. Hopefully I will get out a bit more and attempt a few longer walks if only to the sea front.
I do think Hull is a great city, it used to get bad press but that has changed a bit since they were the City of Culture.
I think those recycled pots are great, and the pub is really attractive.
