Easter card planted!

It has been fairly dull day and a bit of drizzle this morning, not enough to revive the gasping plants though! We went off to the boot sale and it was quite busy considering the weather wasn’t so good. I got a new large baking tin and a couple of trophies that may be useful as prizes at the horticultural show later in the year. Also got a gold nibbed calligraphy pen. We had a sandwich before we looked round and as it was colder today a hot chocolate before we came home! I prepared veg and got dinner organised when we got home, sorted some of the stuff we bought back in from the sale yesterday and had a chat with Anya.
After lunch I got back out to the bed by the greenhouse and pretty much walked on it until I needed to come in and get on with dinner. The before picture doesn’t look a lot different to the finished one but ai did dig it all over again and removed more root and got rid of some of the stones, I got the Easter card planted, pamked put where it was going then dug the Earth away a bit so that I could cover it once watered.  Planted smallish sunflowers near the wall at the back and scattered the butterfly seed bomb. So now it is wait and see and hope the weeds don’t beat the seedlings to it!

The apple blossom is out now and looking lovely,
Dinner is all finished and out of the way, except nobody had room for the crumble straight away. Now the blog is done a I will do a couple of chores then get changed and make a cuppa ready to sit and watch ‘Grace’.

  1. A busy day again. Bargains are a good start. The bed looks nice. Should look good when they grow. Butterfly pics soon 😊
Bet you’ll all find room for crumble soon!
    Enjoy your program.

  2. This will only allow short comments at the moment. I tried uploading a long one and it disappeared again ☹️

  3. I am hopeful that some of the seeds will germinate, I agree with you, it is a really good idea. The seed bombs are a good idea too, lots of ideas to help the wildlife.
Grace is good again so far.
