Errands in Hull

A last minute decision to get the bus into Hull. Tina had banking that needed attention and I had train tickets to collect for my trip to Peterborough in July when I am dog sitting. I got the two errands done fairly quickly and started to wander round but felt tired and wasn’t really in the mood. Got the bus home, had been out for just under four hours and about two and a quarter of those were on a bus! Was dozing off both ways but was awake to spot the Dancing Lane sign twice which makes me smile every time!
When I got home the 12.5k of suet pellets had arrived so got them down the garden and put into containers. The squirrel had been messing with the seed trays again!
I did read a bit of the Ann Cleeves book, which is really good and cut some more squares for the dungarees, will start arranging them tomorrow and maybe even stitch some together.
Have been to see Sarah and David this evening, they are well and have been enjoying the sunshine.
Took a photo of the tamarix on the way back, successfull and so pretty this year, the other one is doing well as well.

It was spitting with rain when I came home, hope it keeps going for a while.

  1. That’s a lot of time to spend on the bus. I’d have definitely nodded off at some point and would no doubt miss my stop! Dancing Lane would be a nice place to live. A good address 😊
Hope you used a trolley to shift the pellets. How’s it going with the gulls and pigeons now, have they got the message yet? Hopefully you’re using a lot less bird food now.
That’s a lot of squares! These are going to be the most complicated dungarees ever. You and your “good” ideas πŸ˜„
You said you took a pic of the tamarix on the way back, but I can’t see a pic.
