Mainly gardening!

I had thought I was going it with a friend this morning but did wonder if she had realised it was a bank holiday, when she didn’t arrive I phoned her and she thought we had arranged to meet tomorrow. So I had a coffee and read for a little while and then got out into the front garden. I had big plans, but soon understood that so much week and the dreaded sticky weed, which I am allergic to, I might not get as far round the beds as I had hoped. I went to the corner bed near the road where the giant sea kale plants are. If they get much bigger I will not be able to get weeding round them!

I should say that before I started I went to see how the pyromaniac was getting on in the back garden!
I worked for a good while outside, Darren kept me supplied with tea and I had a lunch break. Fill the garden cart three times!
I also cleared along the bed by the front wall.

The tulips are stunning, but even more dramatic from above.

I watched a program on catch up this afternoon and started a jigsaw. Tina cooked dinner which was tasty.

This jigsaw is going to be fun to do!
I am enjoying Run Rose Run, the book by Dolly Parton and James Patterson, so may get an early night and read in bed, or even watch a dvd on the portable DVD player!

  1. Shame you didn’t get out, but you’ve still got it to look forward to now. The garden isn’t easy work, so when the body says “stop” it means it. What you’ve done definitely looks good though. Plenty of tea breaks help 😊 Puzzles and no dinner to cook, almost an easy day! Think I may have mentioned it before, but Tina loves those flames. Not sure she has the right boss 😊 A dvd in bed, that’s living it up. Will this upload?
