From there we drove into the city and parked in St Stephens. Went into the Bodyshop and I got some leave in hair conditioner and some hand cream for
Tina. Then we walked into the town to Lush as Tina wanted some new bubble bath blocks. Back to the car park and next stop Lidl. There was a charging point which was good. We had some lunch and then did a bit of shopping. None of the green lentil packs that I like which was a shame. I have been thinking of storing the bird food away from the greenhouse. Partly because it gets too hot, the animals try to get in because they can see it and it stops me using it as a greenhouse! The had a store with shelves in Lidl so we got one of them, would need assembling later.
Then finally we were off to Flemingate. I got a new bird bath for the birds, on the table we have had to kitchen dishes but the white one is cracked and one of the handles has come off! I cleaned the table up and replaced the cracked one.
Tina had more to spend and got a stand with a tray on, well, she didn’t actually get it today as if was marked so they are ordering in a new one for her. She also got me the hare with the left over money.
We didn’t go anywhere Elsa as we were both getting tired. We watch a Bargain Hunt when we got in then I thought I would assemble the cupboard! Rather a lot of pieces and when I got to putting in a shelf I could not follow the instructions and gave it up for today. It is supposed to hold a lot of weight when assembled, so well strong enough to store the bird food.
In Lidl Tina got me some flowers, they look so pretty together.
She also got some new battery toys for the cats, Blue is six today. They are fish that flap about and one makes a noise as well. The cats were not impressed!
Quite a tiring day but enjoyable.
You have had a busy, but nice day. Lots of shopping is always good. They do say it’s therapeutic! I like the Peter Rabbit materials. I think the dungaree idea is a great one. Perfect for you 😊
ReplyDeleteI love the smell that emanates from Lush, but I never go in there as I tend not to soak in the bath these days. The shower is so much easier.
That’s a posh little bird bath. You do spoil those birds. Even got a cabinet to store their food in! Assembling things like that is definitely a two person job. You should drag on of your housemates out there to give you a hand.
The flowers Tina got you are lovely, as is the hare. Not only the birds spoiled today, looks like you were too.
The cat toys are cool. That is until you walk into a room and one of them flaps about and frightens you half to death 😊
Really pleased you enjoyed your day, and so much better than gardening. But I think I can probably guess what you’ll be doing at the weekend!
Bit longer tonight, will it upload?
Great stuff, the longer comment has arrived! It was a good day, quite a few stops which made it interesting. Surprising how tiring it is, or maybe it is just because I am getting old!
ReplyDeleteThe hare is great, it is looking at me now!
